When life gives you an opportunity, you take it. At least that is what the Langan's have done with some opportunities that have come their way in recent years. In 2011, on their yearly trip to Jamaica, Tom and Susan Langan spotted a new development of gated condominiums being built near Negril. After a quick tour of the property, they knew it was just the investment they had been looking for. After some research and a lot of weighing pros and cons, they decided to purchase a two-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom beachfront condo. Tom and Susan thought it would be the perfect place for their family to spend time in as well as a great place to rent to others vacationing in Negril who aren't attached to the all-inclusive style of hotel.

After years of construction, many trips to and from Jamaica, and countless cargo shipments the place was ready. Now, it is a beautifully furnished condo that overlooks the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.

Another opportunity came knocking in 2013 when Tom received an email from the Chicago Cubs. After being on the waiting list for seven years, Tom's name finally reached the top of the season ticket holder waiting list. As a lifelong Cubs fan, it was a no brainer. Tom purchased six tickets for each home game of the 2014 season. As avid Cubs fans, the Langan's knew about the Cubs rebuilding years and also knew what was to come. Theo Epstein promised a winning team and he delivered in 2015 when the Cubs won the NLDS. We all know what happened the next year in 2016 when the Cubs won the World Series for the first time since 1908.

The 2017 and 2018 seasons were thrilling as the Cubs struggled at the beginning and went on to dominate in September and all the way to the postseason for the fourth time in four years. The future's looking bright for this young Cubs team and fans everywhere are looking forward to a winning team for years to come!

The Langan's, along with their daughter and son-in-law Nick and Amanda Elliott, are so very grateful for the opportunities that allow them to own a vacation home and season tickets to cheer on their favorite team. They also love sharing their love of Jamaica and the Cubs with others. The Langan's generously donate tickets and free nights in the condo to many charities and nonprofit organizations in and around the Muscatine area.
